About us
Founded 2014
Our founder, Alison Goldberg always believed and instilled that growing older should be met with gentleness, respect and unwavering care.
Our home is built on the principle that every person deserves to age in a setting that is not only safe, but also beautiful, enriching and deeply personal.
Set in the leafy, tranquility of Bishopscourt, at the foot of Table Mountain, Auberge is more than a nursing home – it is a sanctuary. With only 17 residents and a dedicated team of 35 staff, we offer truly individualised care in a warm, intimate environment that feels like home.
Our Philosophy
Dignity fist: every resident is treated with deep respect, regardless of age, ability or health status. We honour personal histories and choices.
Person-centered care: we tailor everything – from medical to meal plans – to the unique needs and wishes of each individual
Continuity and stability: relationships matter. Our staff are long-standing and highly trained, ensuring a sense of consistency, safety and trust.
A home, not an institution: Our spaces are thoughtfully designed to be elegant, calming and personal. Residents are encouraged to bring familiar furnishings and mementos to create a true sense of home.
Connected living: We foster community through daily activities, meaningful conversation and family engagement- so that no one ever feels alone.
The Staff

Patients benefit from this loyalty. The Auberge staff have been able to continue working in a secure employment because their unwavering loyalty and care have contributed to the success of the business.
